What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including CMS guidelines
- Prepare and submit required facility license applications and renewals to relevant agencies
- Oversee and manage Medicaid and Medicare enrollment, renewal, and compliance activities
- Conduct thorough research on healthcare regulations and provide clear written reports of findings
- Manage relationships with internal departments and external regulatory agencies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare compliance, facility licensing, or regulatory affairs, preferably in home health
- Knowledge of CMS regulations, state facility licensing requirements, and accreditation standards
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a regulatory or compliance position, particularly with governmental agencies
- Prior experience in home health or healthcare facility licensing setting
- Proactive and self-motivated
- Knowledge of home health regulations and accreditation requirements
