What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare and submit clean claims to assigned insurance companies
- Bill all charges daily and ensure timely, accurate submission and collection of claims
- Verify services and products are correctly authorized and required documentation is on file
- Work on claim denials and follow up on unpaid claims in a timely manner
- Provide excellent customer service while managing patient pay balance discussions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of two (2) years of medical billing experience
- Prior experience in home infusion billing
- Strong knowledge of government insurance plans and managed care plans
- Proficiency in CPR+ or CareTend systems is highly desirable
- High school diploma or equivalent
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs)
- Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid guidelines for home infusion therapy
- Knowledge of infusion billing for medical and commercial Medicaid payers
- Experience with CareTend Infusion Pharmacy software for billing
- Ability to self-motivate and effectively solve complex problems through internal/external interactions
