      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Conduct home study assessments for prospective foster families
      - Manage a caseload of home studies and conduct regular home visits
      - Respond to inquiries and provide status updates to families
      - Complete necessary reports and attend meetings and hearings
      - Engage in community outreach and recruitment activities to identify prospective foster parents
      - Utilize social media and creative outlets for recruitment purposes
      - Coordinate with program coordinator and staff to ensure successful recruitment events
      - Assist with the maintenance of case records and other administrative tasks

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Knowledge or understanding of the U.S. Refugee Resettlement program
      - SAFE trained
      - Master's degree (MSW) from an accredited college or university with licensure in DC and Maryland LMSW/LGSW
      - Culturally competent: experience with different cultures, religions, and nationalities
      - Experience in writing court reports, treatment plans, contact notes, and monthly reports
      - Knowledge of trauma-based practices and working with youth
      - Experience in family therapy and/or trauma-informed therapy
      - Connections and/or partnerships with community organizations
      - Must pass background check in DC, Maryland, and Virginia
      - Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and vehicle insurance
      - Physical ability to set up and break down recruitment events (no more than 50 pounds)
      - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data collection systems
      - Strong time management and independent work skills
      - Spanish speaking skills preferred

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - 2 plus years of experience in child welfare, SAFE home study assessment, and the foster care system
      - Spanish speaking skills
