      Job Description
      The successful candidate will be a proactive Administrative Assistant with the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations. Additionally, you will require exceptional interpersonal skills with an unquestionable commitment to professional and personal ethics.

      Duties to include but not limited to:

      Administrative

      Adhering to quarterly, weekly and monthly deadlines for reporting
      Coordinate and manage multiple vendors
      Calendar management; Events and Conferences
      Executive Support

      Provide document collection and support
      Meeting management and scheduling
      Calendar management; leadership meetings, workshops and seminars
      Operational

      Meeting management and scheduling of hospital and community events

      Job Description
      Job Summary: Support Hospital Manager with various administrative duties. Attend meetings and take minutes.

      Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

      Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in order to effectively and accurately communicate with staff and clients.
      Must be friendly, outgoing, "people-oriented," positive, and able to maintain a professional and respectful attitude at all times.
      Must be able to foster and maintain strong and professional relationships with clients and referring veterinarians.
      Education and Experience:

      High School Diploma or equivalent
      Experience working as an administrative assistant, preferred
      Experience in a veterinary hospital or other doctor's office is a plus.
      Physical Requirements:

      Dependable attendance is required.
      Must be able to handle working in a fast-paced, busy environment
      Any allergies to animals must be controllable by medication
      Fine motor skills adequate for utilizing office equipment such as computers, telephones, copiers, fax machines, etc.
      Relationship Building and Teamwork:

      Must be able to uphold and exemplify the principles of VCA's Mission Statement, Three Steps of Service, and VCA Standard of Client Service
      Effectively respectfully communicate with co-workers at all times
      Reliability/Flexibility:

      Must maintain a working knowledge of other roles within the department, as management may occasionally ask to support another role.
