      JOB SUMMARY: Assists the Director of Housekeeping in overseeing the housekeeping department, ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of all guest and employee areas, including furniture, furnishings, linens and uniforms.

      ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
      • Exemplifies commitment to The Setai’s mission of Total Guest Satisfaction
      • Ensures the highest level of cleanliness throughout the hotel with particular emphasis on guest rooms and public areas
      • Maintains positive guest relations at all times; anticipates guests’ needs, responds promptly, and acknowledges guests at all times
      • Assists in establishing and maintaining standard training and operating procedures for the department
      • Assists in controlling the inventory and usage of all cleaning supplies and evaluating pricing and service regularly
      • Inspects all public areas on a daily basis
      • Ensures that housekeeping team maintains positive guest relations at all times; anticipates guests’ needs, responds promptly, and acknowledges guests at all times
      • Assists in preparing weekly labor schedules to ensure adequate staffing while making efficient use of labor resources
      • Handles disciplinary actions quickly and professionally as to hotel policies
      • Periodically conducts physical inventories of all uniforms, linens and supplies; prepares requisitions for approval to ensure par stock levels are maintained for all items
      • Ensures all employees are well groomed and in the correct uniform
      ESSENTIAL WORK SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
      • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
      • Able to work independently with general supervision
      • Demonstrated skills in maturity, diplomacy and tact
      • Demonstrated skills in confidentiality and discretion
      • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
      • Intermediate to advanced level of computer skills (Microsoft Office, Hotel systems)
      • Able to solve problems and meet deadlines under pressure
      • Outstanding personal skills when dealing with hotel guests
      • Able to multi-task and respond quickly and gracefully to changing issues.

      PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
      Able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation.
