What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide supportive services and develop trusting relationships with a caseload of at least 30 households experiencing homelessness
- Assist households in obtaining vital documents and navigating housing applications and processes
- Maintain regular contact with participants to support their housing stability and personal development
- Collaborate with local housing authorities and community partners to improve access to housing resources
- Input case notes and maintain accurate participant records in compliance with organizational standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years of service experience with homeless populations or those with severe service needs
- Strong knowledge of local homeless services systems and social service provider networks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while adhering to confidentiality requirements
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills at a professional working proficiency
- Experience with crisis management and problem-solving in housing-focused case management
- Familiarity with the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS)
- Experience in leading performance relationships with external stakeholders
- Demonstrated knowledge of mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorder treatment
