What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Administer USA and Canada benefit programs and serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on benefits
- Manage family and medical leaves of absence, coordinating with external vendors and payroll
- Lead the annual open enrollment process, including meetings and implementation of benefits
- Respond to escalated employee questions and concerns that are sensitive or complex
- Prepare and manage compliance filings related to benefits and leaves of absence
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience coordinating benefits and leave of absence programs
- Proven knowledge of laws and regulations governing benefit plans and family/medical leaves (e.g., ERISA, COBRA, ACA, FMLA)
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of leadership
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively in challenging situations

- Experience leading open enrollments and managing complex benefit programs
- Familiarity with health & welfare and retirement market trends and best practices
- Ability to thrive in a remote/hybrid work environment with limited in-person interactions
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in managing priorities based on business needs
