      The Plant HR Manager will lead our people strategies for the Modules Austin site.

      Essential Functions:

      • It is the responsibility of the HR Manager to perform all related duties at a professional level in areas of Employee Relations, Labor relations.
      • Establish policies, procedure, practices and language that supports the needs of our facility and customer.
      • Conduct recruitment and orientation activities. Full Time, Part Time, Interns, and temporary contract positions.
      • Manage Performance management process including terminations. HR Team coaching and Development. Manage performance review, IDP’s, and annual objectives process and ensure 100% completion and coach managers on an as needed basis.
      • Responsible for salary review process, bonus planning and Succession Planning for facility.
      • Partner with and support plant Environmental, Sustainability, Health and Safety to build a mindset and safety culture including ensuring accountability is occurring within the facility.
      • Ensure the Global HRIS OPteam is up to date and maintained at all times.
      • Oversee and manage the coordination of the payroll process.
      • Represent the Company in matters of litigation; OHSA, as well as Labor Relations.
      • Establish goals, KPI’s that drive excellence in our plant environment.
      • Support EHS with coordination of 5S committee, Joint Health and Safety Committee & audit completion.
      • Facilitate training as required by the plant needs & legal requirements.
      • Foster strong communication amongst all teams.
      • Foster an Open Door relationship with all employees, focused on establishing a value and trust relationship. Arrange & participate in Plant Director communication meetings.
      • Continuous improvement initiatives. (departmental and plant)
      • Ensure an aggressive approach to safety is established for the plant.
      • Negotiation / Administration of the Collective Agreement, (if required)
      • Manage the month end reporting process for current and forecasted HC, overtime, absenteeism, turnover, FTE.
      • Ensure 5S and the respect OP Mobility Austin facility.
      • Support and/or drive adherence, changes or improvements tied to improved overall plant performance & Health and Safety. Participate in external training to maintain compliance knowledge.
      • Ensure conformance to all company and legislative policies and procedures and Rules of Conduct.
      • Take every precaution reasonable to protect the Health and Safety of the workers, visitors and contractors.
      • CSR activities including Act for All Day, Environmental, Sustainability, Local community support, employee health campaigns, diversity and mental health campaigns.
      • Manage and process worker’s compensation claims.
      • Collaboration with Americas HR Team.
      • Manage the onboarding and training process for all employees and temps.
      • Ensure compliance to and participation in IATF 16949, Customer Specific Requirements, and ISO 45001 & 14001 certification and internal and external audits
      • Has the ability to stop production, upon notifying the Supervisor and Plant Manager for quality related nonconforming matters requiring immediate maintenance.
      • Conduct fair and non-biased employee investigations; recommend and take corrective actions if necessary.
      • Manage turnover, employee engagement survey results and corrective actions; initiate employee retention programs and productivity races to improve employee engagement.
      • Manage and oversee the immigration process and expat assignments for facility employees.
      • Perform all duties safely and with a concern for the environment, utilizing PPE as required
      • Manage benefit invoicing audits
      • Other duties as assigned, by Manager or Functional Manager

      Candidate Requirements:

      • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business or related field
      • Master's Degree or PHR/SPHR preferred
      • 7+ years in HR within a manufacturing environment; automotive manufacturing a plus
      • 3+ years in a Managerial role preferred
      • Good knowledge in local and federal employment and safety laws
      • Knowledge of Payroll & Time Keeping Systems such as Paylocity/UKG
      • Knowledge of SAP SuccessFactors
      • Strong organizational and communication skills
      • Coaching ability to support management team and employees
      • Must be conscientious and maintain confidentiality on daily operations
      • Conduct duties in a professional manner
      • Ability to multitask, effectively delegate & follow up
      • Strong Computer skills and presentation skills – verbal/written
      • High level of professionalism but ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
      • HR KPI tracking and reporting
      • Union labor avoidance and experience a plus, but not required
      • Knowledge of IATF 16949 / ISO 14001 systems a plus
      • Spanish language skills preferred
      • Experience with plant startups preferred
