- Head the Human Resources team for the TNC/NCIS in India, collaborating with Regional HR Business Partner on all HR related issues/processes, specifically employee relations matter as needed.
- Develop annual HR work plan and objectives. Supervise local HR staff.
- Actively liaison with TNC's Worldwide Office and the Asia Pacific Region for sharing knowledge and information on HR services.
- Support all managers and employees with personnel and performance management matters. Communicate personnel-related policies, procedures and programs; ensure the integrity of all personnel-related transactions with accuracy and within deadlines.
- Manage HR vendors, including timely delivery of their services and submitting all required paperwork.
- Responsible for the local employee handbook.
- Travel domestically to address HR-related issues across programs, and potential to attend training (internationally).
- Collaborate with BU management to assess workforce needs and plan for future talent requirements.
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
- Oversee the recruitment process for highly skilled staff and consultants in an efficient manner, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding, including consultation on job descriptions, grades and compensation.
- Work with hiring managers to develop and conduct new employee orientations and ensure all staff are effectively on board.
- Manages global mobility matters and coordinates with the TNC global team, acts as the local liaison for government on immigration matters.
- Drive the annual performance management process, ensuring that all staff are trained and aware of due dates. Oversee quarterly reviews and feedback meetings which include managing the Performance Partnership Process.
- Responsible for development of training programs and career development plans to enhance employee skills and retention.
- Work closely with leadership to drive a high-performance culture.
- Act as a point of contact for employee concerns and grievances, ensuring fair and timely resolutions.
- Foster an engaging, positive and productive team culture within the BU, including supporting planning team building events and activities.
- Organize employee engagement initiatives, team-building activities, and wellness programs.
- Ensure that all employee benefits are processed accurately and act as the liaison between vendors and all staff; Participates in the annual review of benefit programs and acts as the liaison with the World Office Benefits Team as needed.
- Oversee salary structures, performance-based incentives, and benefits programs.
- Conduct benchmarking to ensure competitive compensation practices.
- Handle employee insurance, provident funds, and other statutory benefits.
- Coordinate with the Finance team to develop and manage personnel budgets using staff salary information for proposals.
- Independently manage payroll and related tasks – timekeeping oversight, pay slips, tax declarations, merit letters, leave tracking.
- Keep current with India's employment laws and assist managers and staff on with ethics.
- Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws, company policies, and ethical guidelines, including on hirings and terminations.
- Maintain and update HR policies in line with legal and regulatory changes, working closely with Regional HR Business Partner.
- Manage employee records, payroll coordination, and benefits administration.
- Ensure that all local personnel files are complete and are following legal requirements and internal policies of TNC.
- Maintain HR databases for efficient people management. Attend required training for familiarity with TNC's HR systems
- Generate HR reports and analytics to support decision-making.
- Manage the personnel administration for all routine hires, position changes and terminations; Work closely with supervisors to facilitate the completion of all staff administrative paperwork.
- Master's degree in Business Administration, with a specialization in Human Resources Management.
- A minimum of 7HR management experience, preferably in a multinational, corporate or development context.
- Experience as an HR Leader working with Senior Managers, and strong experience in in employee relations.
- Proven organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws, compliance, and industry HR practices.
- Service oriented. Courteous, personable, and tactful experience dealing effectively and sensitively with all levels of staff and public.
- Proficiency in HRMS tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Database management skills with ability to produce reports. Ability to use advanced computer functions including navigating the Internet. Ability to manipulate, analyze and interpret data.
- Excellent English communications (written and verbal) skills required.
- Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated.
- Advanced understanding of fundamental HR concepts, processes, and services.
- Demonstrated expertise in talent acquisition, performance management.
- Demonstrated experience developing, reviewing, and maintaining HR related policies, guidelines, and processes. Interest in helping to establish processes, adapt existing systems, and grow with an expanding program.
- Ability to juggle multiple competing deadlines and proven ability to work in a fast paced and highly interactive environment.

WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHERWe are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager to oversee all aspects of human resources services including talent acquisition (hiring and recruitment of staff and consultants), onboarding, employee relations, employee communications, compensation, performance management, benefits, payroll, staff development/training, HR vendor management and program capacity building. The HR Manager will work to ensure compliance with labor laws and fostering a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of HR best practices in India.
WE'RE LOOKING FOR YOUReporting to the Regional HR Business Partner, People Team, with a dotted reporting line to the Managing Director of NCIS, the HR Manager is responsible for reviewing, maintaining, and administering HR systems, programs, procedures and plans according to organizational HR processes, compliance with labour law regulations and internal policies of TNC. They anticipate and respond to moderately complex employee/management questions and problems based on HR experience. Duties are highly confidential and require broad and comprehensive knowledge of TNC's global policies and their contextualization for the India Program.
