      Job Title: Human Resources Manager

      Department: Human Resources

      Location: Hybrid, Milwaukie, OR

      Shift: Monday-Friday (8-hour days); 5 days on-site per week

      Wage: $101,520 - $124,080 per year, depending on experience

      Position Overview: We are driven to deliver quality services to our employee owners by improving efficiency and finding simple solutions to complex challenges. Our Human Resources Manager will lead HR team members in the administration of benefits, compensation, leave of absence, worker’s compensation, HRIS. This manager will draw upon their generalist experience to ensure compliance with company policy and regulations in all HR areas. This manager will seek opportunities to create process efficiencies that improve the employe owner experience.

      Responsibilities

      Essential Job Functions:

      General Human Resources

      • Facilitates ongoing training to the HR department to develop compliance expertise throughout the team.
      • Ensures HR policies and procedures meet company and regulatory compliance requirements through thorough understanding of labor laws and regulations.
      • Evaluates individual circumstances and unique instances to identify the best application of various resources to provide the best outcome for employee owners.
      • Confirms all personnel files, records, and reports are maintained in a logical, timely, and legally compliant manner with the highest level of confidentiality regarding employee and company information.
      • Complies with all company policies and procedures and operates all equipment in a safe and food-safe manner.
      • Complies with Bob’s Red Mill food safety policies and procedures including adherence to FDA regulations, Safe Quality Food (SQF) Standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
      • Responsible for reporting food safety and quality concerns to Supervisors and/or Department Manager.
      • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.

      Benefits, Compensation, Leave of Absence, and Worker’s Compensation

      • Sets up benefits, compensation, and leave programs in ADP and AbsenceSoft to ensure plans are accurate and all data-feeds are functioning properly throughout the year.
      • Develops and distributes analytics and usage reports to inform key stakeholders to trends or to recommend policy changes and alternative benefit offerings.
      • Maintains and improves practices to educate and empower employee owners on their benefit options.
      • Manages team to answer employee questions, complete open enrollment, facilitate new hire and qualifying life event enrollments, and resolve plan issues in collaboration with brokers and vendors.
      • Leads administration of the compensation program through survey participation, job analyses, career progression programs, organization-wide raises, equal pay audits, and updating the compensation structure.
      • Educates HR team, leaders, and employee owners on compensation basics including pay ranges, assigning and communicating a raise, or gaining skills in service of career progression.
      • Ensures LOA and worker’s compensation reporting meets leadership and employee owner needs.
      • Enhances LOA communication materials to provide additional guidance and clarity to employee owners.
      • Leverages vendor partnerships to ensure total rewards compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements.

      Human Resources Information System (HRIS)

      • Provides project management and strategic direction to key HRIS projects which includes HR functions in ADP, Security, Workflows, Benefits, Performance, Recruiting, Onboarding, HR interfaces and other HR automation initiatives.
      • Oversees the design, development and implementation of reporting, compliance and analytics related to employee data.
      • Performs HRIS application troubleshooting and support for members of the HR team, escalating issues to external technical resources when necessary.
      • Develops and implements standards for maintaining data integrity, security, user, and ticket administration.
      • Partners with end-users to provide support planning for future releases, implementation, migration planning, upgrade, testing and stability maintenance.
      • Creates documentation of standard operating procedures for all ADP tasks including training materials for new managers and employee owners.

      Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

      • Advanced knowledge of general HR practices and the application of employment law, with expertise in at least two the following areas: benefits, compensation, leave, worker’s compensation, and HRIS.
      • Skilled in applying multiple policies to identify and resolve complex problems autonomously.
      • Leverage understanding of policy, context, and stakeholders to make and communicate decisions.
      • Effectively lead and manage multiple projects while meeting critical deadlines.
      • Advanced English language reading comprehension, writing, and verbal communication skills.
      • Advanced technical proficiency in: ADP, ATS (iCIMS preferred), Microsoft 365 (including Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, and Sharepoint), and experience with AbsenceSoft highly desired.
      • Proficiency with PowerBI is highly desired.
      • Demonstrates Respect, Teamwork, Accountability, and Determination.
      • Ability to work in an environment where exposure to potential food allergens is or may be present.

      Supervisory Responsibilities:

      • Manages the Total Rewards (3) and HRIS (2) teams.
      • This position reports to the Senior Human Resources manager.

      Qualifications

      Education and Experience:

      • 7 or more years of HR experience with 2 or more years of management experience AND
      • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in HR, Business Administration, or related.
      • Any combination of education and additional years of experience that provides the necessary skills, knowledge, and ability to perform assigned tasks.

      Physical Demands:

      • Occasional lifting of boxes up to 25 lbs.
      • Sitting or standing in front of the computer for 5 or more hours per day.

      Work Environment:

      • The primary work environment is in an office setting.
      • Employees will be exposed to common food allergens.
