What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide guidance to managers and supervisors on human resource management issues, facilitating problem-solving strategies
- Research, compile data, and draft correspondence for revising or creating HR policies and procedures
- Respond to unemployment claims and open records requests, serving as a liaison with outside agencies
- Counsel employees on grievances, professional development, and conflict resolution
- Develop and deliver training and presentations related to HR policies and practices
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Personnel Management, Human Resources Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a directly related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of directly related experience in a human resources position
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local employment laws and regulations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks effectively
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP)
- Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) or Professional in Human Resources Certification (PHR)
- Specialized coursework in Human Resources
- Valid Texas Driver's License
