Ensures the integrity of internal database files, tables, and reports. Resolves escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
Oversees, mentors, and manages the day-to-day activities of the HR Technology Team.
Conducts a needs assessment to identify and analyzes business requirements, system gaps, and critical improvement opportunities and recommends hardware and software solutions to meet data management needs.
Drives initiative to optimize HR technology platform to eliminate manual work, drive efficiency and ensure compliance. Identify risks or opportunities and recommend changes to processes which improve the delivery of HR services to the organization.
Drives the development of a people data playbook ensuring that Bagel Brands and Caribou Coffee use data, analytics, and insights to shape effective decision making.
Identifies current and emerging trends in people data (retention, turnover, career paths, etc.) and be able to distill the key story and action recommendations for leaders.
Develops HRIS and data analytics functions to ensure deeper bench strength in key areas of expertise.
Contributes to develop integrated web-based Total Rewards and benefits programs, business processes and modules across both brands, ensuring optimized benefits management.
Maintains internal benefits database, configurations, file feed integration and tables. Develops custom reports and audit trails to ensure compliance with all requirements.
Supports the renewal and open enrollment processes via Workday.
Provides the necessary training to meet end user’s needs. Project Management
Core contributor to the planning and development of Bagel Brands’ and Caribou Coffee HR technology roadmap which will include aligning HRIS systems with company strategy, setting up end to end processes and ensuring seamless integration across multiple systems, vendors, and platforms.
Responsible for determining the scope of work needed for Workday optimization projects and the allocation of resources including own crucial role during implementation.
Spearheads the Workday Advisory Committee that recommends on projects requirements and prioritization.
Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved timelines and budgets.
Designs and creates HRIS processes as well as communicates and implements across the business in a way that drives value and adoption.
Helps set Team development plans and functional area goals.
Provides on the job training and mentorship for HRIS Team and other subject matter experts that work and interact frequently with HR Technology systems and processes.
Fosters team collaboration across brands.
This role requires an HR professional who excels in a fast paced, results oriented, and dynamic environment, who is flexible and can respond quickly (sense of urgency) and effectively to business issues while juggling multiple deadlines and stakeholder requirements.
Minimum 7 years’ experience in a management capacity working with Human Capital Management (HCM) Talent Acquisitions and/or Total Rewards systems and reporting solutions.
Expert level, Workday HCM experience strongly preferred.
Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience managing a team. Ability and experience with organizing team roles and evaluating employee performance. Proven Project Management skills.
Experience in HR processes, systems, policies, and data to ensure our HR technology solutions meet organizational needs and goals.
Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
Strong attention to detail.
In-depth knowledge of HR systems, reporting, data, and future trends and best practices.
Flexibility to adapt to changing business situations and effective problem-solving capabilities.
Aptitude for learning new technologies and trends. Self-starter with ability to work with little direction and produce results.

We are currently searching for an HR Technology Manager to be the “owner” and subject matter expert of Workday (Human Capital Management) HCM for Bagel Brands and Caribou Coffee. This role works closely with functional HR teams, IT, and core business stakeholders across Bagel Brands and Caribou Coffee to ensure our HR technology solutions enable the business to move forward and deliver results.

This position is a remote position with occasional travel to the Support Center in Denver. We are targeting $130,000-$140,000 base salary with annual 15% bonus potential!
Position Mission:
The Manager, HR Technology will provide strategic technology partnership to support organizational needs in the design, implementation, and support of the HR Technology Roadmap, and will ensure that we are following established core standards and guidelines across all architectures, security, technology, and compliance. This position ensures accurate best practice business process/workflows and other system dependencies are in place within Workday to enable and support the delivery of our business goals via our HR technology solutions. This role will be responsible for the daily operations of the HR Technology Team, ensuring the team provides exceptional and timely support to our bakeries and all key stakeholders. This position will report to the Director, People Compliance and Technology.
