Job Description

- Beta & AI Optimization: Actively participate in UKG Beta testing cycles, providing critical feedback to vendors. Partner with the HRIS team to drive the adoption and optimization of UKG Bryte AI tools to enhance organizational productivity.
- Module Ownership: Serve as the designated Lead or Backup for specific UKG Pro modules (e.g., WFM, UKG Core, Document Manager, HRSD, Onboarding) and/or other HR platforms, ensuring 100% functional uptime and optimization.
- Functional Configuration: Independently manage system settings and business processes, ensuring the technology aligns with evolving HR and Finance workflows.
- Integration Resolution: Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve system integration issues between UKG Pro and third-party vendors.
- Judgment & Escalation: Exhibit high-level professional judgment; take independent action to resolve technical glitches while knowing exactly when a high-impact issue requires escalation to the HRIS management team.
- Root Cause Analysis: Don't just "fix" the error-identify why it happened and implement a durable solution to prevent recurrence.
- Reporting Project Leadership: Lead the design and delivery of specialized reporting and analytics projects. Translate complex business questions into functional reports and visual dashboards.
- Analytics Visualization: Build and maintain high-level analytics within UKG People Analytics (Cognos) or other BI tools (Looker, Power BI) to support strategic decision-making.
- Trend Analysis: Proactively identify data trends and anomalies, presenting findings to HRIS leadership to drive continuous improvement.
- Excellent Customer Service: Provide top-tier support to HR, Payroll, and Finance partners as well as employees. You are the "face" of the system, transforming technical jargon into helpful, empathetic solutions for end-users.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Act as a cohesive member of the HRIS team, sharing knowledge freely and stepping in to support colleagues during high-volume cycles or complex implementations.
- The "Finish Line" Focus: Take full ownership of assigned HRIS projects from start to finish. You are expected to manage timelines and troubleshoot roadblocks independently without "hand-holding."

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of HRIS experience (UKG Pro admin experience is required; additionally, experience with other HR Systems is strongly preferred).
- Data Analytics Proficiency: Strong experience in reporting and analytics tools (IBM Cognos, Tableau, or Looker).
- Technical Agility: Highly proficient in Excel (Macros, Vlookups, Pivot Tables) and quick to adapt to new software platforms.

About the Role
The HRIS Specialist is a high-impact, functionally driven role participating in optimization, testing, and administration of SelectQuote's HR technology suite. This position is designed for a proactive "finisher"-someone who takes full ownership of complex projects and drives them to completion with minimal oversight.
As a versatile technical partner, you will serve as a Lead or Backup across various UKG Pro modules and emerging platforms, adapting quickly to business needs. This role is at the forefront of our digital transformation, leading UKG Beta testing, optimizing UKG Bryte AI, and spearheading data analytics projects. Success in this role requires a rare blend of technical independence, a service-oriented heart, and a "get-it-done" attitude that transcends specific job titles.
