      This is the role

      As HSEQI Manager, you are part of the site organization in order to continuously improve all HSE related efforts like environmental, occupational health & process safety aspects as well as Inspection. The job ensures HSE and Inspection related compliance with local laws/ regulations/ permits and the LyondellBasell standards. Overall goal is to reduce environmental impact and increase value while keeping an excellent safety performance.
      You are responsible for all matters belonging to the disciplines of Health, Safety, Security, Environment, Process Safety, Quality, Training, DGSA and Inspections (HSSEQTI) – this covers all sites Botlek, Maasvlakte and Europoort.

      In this challenging position, as an active member of the Site Management Team, you oversee HSSEQTI matters for all site activities and manage a team of 5 supervisors and around 70 indirect reports.

      Responsibilities

      • Lead, support, and monitor the implementation of the HSE strategy;
      • Support LYB sustainability and Net Zero transition, strategy, programs and targets within the business unit as they develop;
      • Coach leaders to ensure they have the competence to fulfil their HSSEQTI accountabilities and to provide leadership;
      • Work to continuously improve the safety culture within site organization;
      • Work with Site Management team to ensure that actions are closed out from risk reviews, self-verification, audits and investigations providing recommendations for ways to prevent similar accidents and findings;
      • Own all HSE Management Systems and their implementation;
      • Proactively influence and direct leadership to ensure relevant HSE employee and stakeholder communications and awareness programs are delivered as per need;
      • Work collaboratively with Maintenance to ensure contractors working on site, or planning to work on site are working within the site safety requirements;
      • Ensure all inspection plans for the year are timely handed over as well as regularly monitored till successful completion.

      This is what you bring

      • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent, formal HSE qualification or graduate degree in HSE desirable;
      • About 10- years of chemical or refining manufacturing experience preferred;
      • Strong leadership skills, with a focus on safety and operational excellence and demonstrated skills in managing an environment for high productivity, high quality and low costs;
      • Change management skills;
      • Ability to formulate and implement strategies;
      • Fluently in English is a must, additional language is a pre.
