      The Human Resource Coordinator supports the daily operations of the university's HR department, working closely with HR staff, faculty, and departments across campus. This role is integral in ensuring the efficient delivery of HR services including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Extend prompt, accurate and efficient service on the phone, by e-mail or in person to individuals needing assistance from Human Resources personnel.
      • Maintains Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and provides necessary training to department chairs, supervisors/search committees. Enters job requisitions, maintains applicant process, and answers questions. Assist with the preparation and posting of job advertisements on internal and external platforms.
      • Maintain employee records and HRIS data with accuracy and confidentiality.
      • Provide support in benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and open enrollment processes.
      • Generate and track 90-day performance evaluations as well as prepare and send out annual evaluations to supervisors.
      • Respond to employee inquiries related to HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
      • Support employee engagement programs and training initiatives.
      • Assist in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and university employment laws and policies.
      • Lead user providing documentation, training, create reporting, and maintain data integrity on University HRIS system.
      • Contribute to special projects and initiatives as assigned.

      Required Qualifications

      • High School diploma
      • At least 4 years of experience in a human resources or administrative support role.
      • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
      • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with HRIS systems.

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Experience in higher education or a complex organizational environment.
      • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
