      Job Overview

      The Human Resources Specialist I will support a variety of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. The position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes, enhancing employee satisfaction, and contributing to the organizational culture.

      Key responsibilities include:

      • Performs clerical functions with proficiency including answering phones, typing documents, entering and tracking data in spreadsheets and databases, requesting needed information, copying and faxing documents, writing correspondence, scanning and maintaining fi les/records, etc.
      • Achieves a satisfactory level of technical and professional skills/knowledge in job-related areas; keeps abreast of current developments and trends in Human Resources.
      • Entering new hire employment information into payroll systems.
      • Assists with special projects, as assigned.
      • Provides customer service to various managers/candidates via email, phone, and in-person encounters.
      • Supporting onboarding for new hires and ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
      • Advising managers and employees on HR-related questions and ensuring compliance with company policies.
      • Assisting in the administration of employee benefits programs, including health and wellness.
      • Maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
      • Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws and regulations.
      • Providing administrative support to HR functions as needed.

      What You Will Need

      • High School Diploma or GED.

      • Experience in recruitment, employee relations, or HR administration is preferred but not required.
      • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with all levels of the organization.
      • Familiarity with HR systems such as UKG is a plus.
      • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
      • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
      • Proactive, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
