One year of college or three years of successful HR experience preferred
Experience handling confidential information
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with others
Exceptional Organizational skills
Experience with database data entry, Microsoft Word, and Excel computer applications
Assume a positive role for public relations in representing the school system and the Human Resources Department.
Provide support for Operations Department, ACE workers’ and Work Based Learning applicants/employees
Communicate with other departments and administrators to provide information, assistance concerning salaries, applications, employment, personnel records and legal requirements
Maintain Human Resource database
Verify classifications and salaries for the payroll department
Proficiently typing and duplicating documents with accuracy and speed.
Demonstrating mastery in word processing and proficiency in editing various documents.
Maintaining meticulous records and implementing effective filing systems.
Generating comprehensive reports tailored to meet the needs of stakeholders.
Operating office equipment proficiently to ensure seamless workflow.
Exercising exemplary telephone etiquette and communication ability.
Facilitate on-boarding process for new hires
Fingerprint new hires and complete criminal background history on all employees every 5 years
Process verifications/recommendations for former and current employees
Other duties as assigned by Chief Human Resource Officer

Primary Job Goal:
To coordinate and assist school system supervisors in providing and maintaining a high-quality Operations staff through recruitment, reference, and background research; to establish and maintain human resource employment application files; to supervise and maintain the human resource record system; and to assist in data gathering for state funding reports in support of the district’s mission.

Working Environment:
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands:
Lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling. Generally, the job requires 80% sitting, 10% walking, 10% lifting/carrying, and 10% standing.
