      Job Summary:

      The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Human Resources (HR) Analyst. This position supports the Human Resources Liaison with a wide range of personnel-related duties specifically for the ASPC - Tucson. Apply today!

      Job Duties:

      - Provides customer service to employees regarding HR-related inquires, including direct deposits, taxes, benefits, promotional, and transfer opportunities
      - Researches and prepares Human Resources Information System (HRIS) input documents on a variety of employee personnel actions such as new hires, promotions, resignations, demotions, transfers, audit actions, and reconciling HRIS entries for accuracy
      - Conducts new hire and lateral transfer in-processing, consisting of reviewing all new hire and lateral transfer mandated forms and informing new staff of employee benefit options
      - Ensures E-Verify are completed timely
      - Assists with and verifies the completion of background questionnaires, coordination of fingerprints, and the submission of all completed background packets are sent to the appropriate location
      - Processes ID requests for contractors and staff
      - Utilizes a variety of computer programs and software daily, including HRIS, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite
      - Produces and researches the HRIS Status Term Report sending regular notices out to the units of upcoming status term dates for employee performance evaluations
      - Creates input documents and submits to HR Operations Central Office for processing and filing
      - Creates Institution HR and Benefits Files for all newly hired staff
      - Files all incoming HR, benefits, and related actions and documentation
      - Travels/Drives on State business
      - Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment

      - HRIS and Talent Acquisition or comparable web-based programs
      - Microsoft Office and Google Suite
      - Human Resources practices and procedures in a governmental capacity

      - Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers

      - Travel on State business

      Selective Preference(s):

      - Experience with Arizona State Government employment and benefits

      Pre-Employment Requirements:

      Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation.

      If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).

      Retirement:

      Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS).

      Enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment.
