    • Performs administrative tasks essential for maintaining the department's efficiency and effectiveness. Assist in various operational duties essential for efficient workflow within the Human Resources department.

    • Review and process onboarding forms and new hire welcome materials for new employees.

    • Manage the employment verification process for employment details through written and verbal communication.

    • Prepares source documentation needed for new hires and ensures new employees attend orientation programs and receive information on applicable practices and procedures.

    • Execute administrative tasks related to the Human Resources digital document management system, including establishing initial files and processing changes.

    • Facilitate and support the New Employee Orientation and hiring training by actively participating and assisting in the smooth execution of these programs. Ensure a welcoming and informative experience for new hires, contributing to their successful onboarding process.

    • Responds to calls and emails in an effort to provide information and assistance to internal and external customers.

    • Assists and advises on routine questions from employees relative to human resources policies and procedures. Refers more complex issues to appropriate staff members.

    • Provides general administrative support such as composing documents and correspondence, creating forms, data entry, processing confidential reports and documentation and filing.

    • Assists in maintaining documents, confidential files and records in CREC's document management system in order to provide up-to-date documentation for compliance purposes.

    • Attends meetings for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.

    • Assist with overseeing the inventory and management of office supplies to ensure adequate stock levels.

    • May attend college, university and community job fairs, with occasional events after normal work hours or on weekends.

    • Assists in planning and scheduling events and activities.

    • Acts as a liaison with other departments as necessary.

    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    • Knowledge of basic policies and procedures pertaining to human resources.

    • Ability to actively contribute to completion of team goals and assigned tasks.

    • Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of individuals.

    • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms and other office procedures.

    • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing exceptional customer service. This includes customer needs assessment and satisfaction.

    • Ability to problem solve job-related issues and carry out written or verbal instructions with minimal supervision.

    • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others.

    • Ability to process paperwork accurately and in a timely manner, according to standardized procedures.

    • Excellent organizational, and planning skills with strong attention to detail.

    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

    • 2 years previous human resources experience or related experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Experience with Munis, Microsoft Office, Google Suite and Applicant Tracking Systems preferred.
