Job Description

- Payroll & HRIS (ADP):
- Accurately process biweekly payroll across multiple states using ADP Workforce Now
- Audit payroll data for accuracy including timecards, deductions, and tax setups
- Maintain and update employee information in ADP, including compensation, job titles, and reporting structures
- Monitor and respond to payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with all applicable wage and hour laws and state-specific requirements
- Recruiting & Onboarding:
- Partner with HR Director to understand staffing needs and manage full-cycle recruitment
- Post jobs, screen resumes, coordinate interviews, and support the offer process
- Manage pre-employment processes (background checks, paperwork, etc.)
- Facilitate new hire onboarding including system setup, orientation scheduling, and Day 1 experience
- HR Operations & Compliance:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records (digital files)
- Track and support compliance with labor laws, EEO reporting, and company policies
- Assist with policy implementation, communication, and updates
- Monitor and process employee changes (LOAs, terminations, promotions)
- Support internal audits and data reporting
- Benefits & Employee Support:
- Assist with benefit enrollment, qualifying life events, and open enrollment logistics
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, time off, and policies
- Support employee engagement and recognition initiatives
- General HR Administration:
- Support HR projects such as handbook updates, process improvements, and compliance rollouts
- Create and run HR reports and dashboards as requested
- Provide administrative support for employee relations, investigations, and training sessions
- Coordinate HR communications and assist with internal events
- 2–4 years of HR experience, including payroll and recruiting
- Strong proficiency with ADP Workforce Now (payroll and HR modules)
- Multi-state payroll experience required; experience with CA, TX, CO, or IL is a plus
- Working knowledge of HR laws and regulations (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Sharepoint)
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field preferred

We are looking for a highly organized and self-motivated HR Associate to support a wide range of Human Resources functions. This role will have primary responsibility for multi-state payroll processing and recruiting, while also supporting employee onboarding, compliance, benefits, and HR administrative tasks. This is a hands-on role suited for someone with strong ADP Workforce Now experience and a passion for delivering excellent employee support.
