Areas that currently support Intern opportunities are:People Consultants (Employee Relations) - Administrative and project support in various areas of Employee Relations by assisting in case investigations, conducting environmental scans, updating and drafting letters
Performance and Learning: - Support for the Performance and Learning Department by posting training data, support and documentation of staff training in the Learning Management System, updating or compiling training documentation
Talent Acquisition (Recruitment)
- Support in the Talent Acquisition Department by assisting in the job posting processes, screening applicants, preparing offer packages for new hires, and participating in interview panels when possible
Volunteer Resources:- Onboarding support in the Volunteer Resources Department by screening and reviewing applications and resumes, conducting screening interviews, maintaining records in the Department Human Resources System, assisting with special projects or other duties as assigned
*Mandatory cross-department additional learning projects will also be made available by the Intern Program CoordinatorQualifications:- Currently enrolled in a post-graduate or post-secondary program focused on Human Resources with a required co-op work term
- Previous office related experience or experience in Human Resources is an asset
- Attention to detail and the ability to work with confidential information is essential
- Effective organizational and administrative skills
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Comfort working in a hospital environment preferred
- Demonstrated initiative and commitment to learning
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Proof of up to date vaccines and immunizations (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code
