      Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources Operations the Human Resources Coordinator is a customer focused role that works with senior HR resources in creating and implementing recruitment strategies and processes to attract high quality talent.       Your Human Resources Coordinator responsibilities:

      • Work with leaders and Human Resources Consultants/Advisor by coordinating and participating in the recruitment process through preparing postings, screening applications, preparing interview questions, coordinating and conducting interviews, checking references and providing input to leaders on selection decisions.
      • Negotiate offer and terms of employment and prepare documentation for onboarding successful candidates and notifying unsuccessful candidates.
      • Provides feedback to internal candidates and acts as a resource to external applicants on the recruitment process.
      • Track temporary employee status, generate employee class change letters and act as a back up to the HR Administrator and Recruiters as required.
      • Act as a resource to employees and leaders in the interpretation of HR guidelines.
      • Assist with other human resources duties and projects as assigned or on an ad hoc basis.

      Your experience and skills:

      • Post- secondary education in human resources management combined with recruitment and selection experience is required.
      • Highly developed organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner, combined with your experience in dealing with people, handling inquiries and working in a deadline-oriented environment will lead to your success.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities along with your strong interpersonal skills will allow you to build cooperative working relationships with colleagues and clients.
      • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service skills is critical.
      • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint along with experience using Workday or similar applicant tracking system.
      • Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is an asset.

      Salary: $63,919 to $75,173 per annum (Pay Grade 9)

      This position is long-term temporary, full-time for a period of up to one year. Successful candidate must reside in Alberta and be able to work in person primarily in our Edmonton downtown office as required by their position.
