Job Description
- Req#: 868920
- Maintains policies and makes updates as necessary.
- Maintains HR Department Toolkits and job descriptions.
- Arranges meetings, coordinates the HR portion for All Staff meetings, and assists with HR in-service meetings.
- Maintains HR department calendar and other HR lists.
- Coordinates annual Bureau of Quality Management review of all eligible Marklund employees as required by regulations.
- Provides clerical support and coordination for Chief Human Resources Officer & Human Resources Manager.
- Stays up to date and notifies employees of changes or updates to the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
- Prepares reports using Microsoft Office.
- Assists with incoming phone calls and helps with front desk coverage as needed.

Marklund is seeking a highly motivated and mission-centered individual for the position of HR Coordinator. This is a full-time on-site position based out of the Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva, IL. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:00 PM. Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and to meet its functional and environmental requirements.
Who We Are:
Marklund is a nonprofit organization that provides residential, educational and therapy services to infants, children, teens and adults with serious and profound developmental disabilities and special healthcare needs. With three residential locations – the Marklund Hyde Center in Geneva, the Marklund Philip Center in Bloomingdale, and the Marklund Wasmond Center in Elgin, it is currently home to nearly 178 residents. The Marklund Day School offers Multi-Needs and Life Skills programs for children and young adults with multiple medical needs, and those diagnosed on the autism spectrum. In addition, our Community Day Services program at each site is a therapeutic day program for adults who reside at Marklund and those who come in from the community.
