Partner with the HR Manager to establish and maintain a positive and visible HR presence among all levels of staff.
Create and support a recruitment plan; lead the recruitment process; work with hiring managers to identify and interview appropriate candidates, track status of candidates, and correspond professionally.
Gather, analyze, and monitor HR metrics such as turnover rates, staffing levels, and recruiting costs to help forecast and plan for staffing needs.
Deliver new hire orientation, required policy training and developed corporate training programs.
Respond to staff inquiries and questions related to policies and procedures, and the full-cycle on-boarding process.
Perform general HR functions including but not limited to employee file maintenance, preparation of reports, and accurate and timely administration of HRIS data entry and maintenance.
Manage workflow, with minimal oversight, in a fast-paced environment with multiple and sometimes changing priorities.
Conduct confidential HR counseling, stay interviews, and exit interviews.
Use sound judgment and discretion while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
Facilitate necessary training and engagement initiatives to strengthen culture.
A 4-year college degree or professional HR certification and 3-4 years of related Generalist experience. Retail or service industry experience is a big plus.
Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as interact comfortably with all levels of staff.
Requires leadership skills and ability to be part of a team with minimal day-to-day supervision.
Requires proficiency with HR technical subjects and experience with preparing documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
Experience in HRIS and applicant tracking systems, preferably Workday.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, social media platforms, and various on-line job boards and recruiting resources.
Experience working with non-exempt and exempt, on-site and remote workforce.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Bi-lingual skills a plus.

This role will bridge the gap between tactical HR functions and strategic HR deliverables. This multi-dimensional role requires your delivery of expertise in the full scope of HR functions (e.g. Employee Relations, HRIS, Talent Acquisition & Management, Benefits Admin, and Analytics).
The successful candidate will be proficient in using good judgment and discretion to deliver exceptional service in a diverse range of areas, lead the local talent acquisition process, and assist in managing the full employee lifecycle, escalating issues as necessary.
