- Partner with plant manager to guide them to develop an excellent culture within the plant and continually work with them to improve employee engagement.
- Partner with Corporate Payroll & Benefits to ensure insurance enrollment deadlines are met, overseeing weekly payroll preapprovals, entering support orders, garnishments, etc., processing pay increases or position changes.
- Coordinate performance review process and assist managers with the process.
- Partner with Plant Management to track attendance and offer advice on disciplinary actions and terminations when necessary.
- Conduct investigations and document appro0priately, recommending course of action.
- Maintain employee files in compliance with legal/regulatory requirements.
- Lead recruiting for all positions at the location.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience. Combined, relevant experience and HR-related training and education may be substituted for degree requirement.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and concepts.
- HR Certification.
- Previous manufacturing environment experience is a plus.

Working with the HR Manager, the HR Generalist assures all day-to-day HR tasks and processes are executed efficiently and effectively. They partner with plant management staff to assure a positive culture and help drive engagement. The HR Generalist also leads efforts related to employee relations, compensation and recruitment and retention initiatives in support of Latham’s core values and strategy.
