      The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR related duties professionally and works closely with the HR Director in supporting the Hospital. This position carries out administrative responsibilities in the following functional areas: New hire onboarding, off-boarding, orientation, recruitment, negotiating offers, pre-employment, performance management, policy implementation, employee relations, uploading documents to ee files, general benefits, and compliance with all hospital standards and state and national labor laws. Serves as the first point of contact for all on-site employee's general questions regarding HR.

      Qualifications:

      • Some college, degree preferred
        • 3-5 years of general HR experience
        • Hospital experience preferred; knowledge of Joint Commission requirements and licensure a plus
        • Knowledge and experience with Kronos timekeeping and ADP are preferable
      • Computer proficiency required
      • Customer service orientated
      • Excellent communication and people skills
      • Must understand the confidential nature of Human Resources
      • Ability to multitask
      • Detail oriented

      Responsibilities:

      • Primarily responsible for the onboarding process and new hire orientation, preparing on-boarding/off-boarding notices and related documentation
      • Maintains electronic personnel files and uploads all documents timely and accurately
      • Assists with benefits administration, including FMLA, Employee Assistance and communicates benefit information to employees
      • Assists with recruitment efforts for all exempt and nonexempt personnel
      • Maintains accurate and current personnel files for employees and contractor/agency personnel
      • Assists with evaluating reports, decisions, and results of the department in relation to established goals.
      • Participates in developing department goals and processes
      • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to improve the efficiency of the department and services performed continually.
      • Strives to meet the needs of all customers by answering phone calls, emails, and other inquiries promptly
      • Assists in the interpretation, maintenance, and advising of personnel policies and procedures for all organization personnel
      • Other duties as assigned
