- Manage day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, and performance management
- Ensure compliance with California labor laws and internal policies.
- Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures
- Conduct background checks and verify employment history
- Serve as a point of contact for employee HR inquiries
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
- Chair the Employee Recognition Committee
- Advise management and staff on employment laws, regulations, and HR policies and procedures
- Provide functional guidance and training to other HR staff
- Maintain strict confidentiality standards
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field required
- Minimum of four years of HR experience within the state of California
- Software: Microsoft Office and HRIS experience required. Paycom experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Bilingual candidate preferred
- Non-profit experience, especially in the areas of family resource or education programs is preferred

Base pay range
$32.00/hr - $34.00/hr
LHH is teaming up with a well-established nonprofit organization in Sacramento, CA in search of a dedicated and experienced HR Generalist to support its mission-driven work. This is a newly created, onsite role, ideal for someone who values stability and has a strong foundation in HR practices.
The ideal candidate is an experienced HR professional with at least four years of California-based HR work and a bachelor's degree. They communicate clearly, are detail-oriented, and thrive in a steady, mission-driven environment. Bilingual candidates and those coming from a non-profit background are strongly preferred.

Start Date: ASAP
Location: Fully on-site in Sacramento, CA
Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday
Pay Rate: $32-$34/hour, depending on experience
