      As part of the Human Resources training program at Wegmans, you’ll complete rotations working alongside Recruiters, HR leadership, and different members of management to strengthen your skills and enrich your knowledge of our Human Resources practices. You’ll learn how to hire fairly, retain, and protect our employment brand in order to keep Wegmans a Great Place to Work for All. You will also learn how to be an objective adviser, facilitator, coach, and consultant to employees and management, advocating for our values and ensuring HR programs and practices are executed successfully.

      What will I do?

      • Learn how to advocate for employees and ensure a compliant, diverse, harassment-free environment of equal opportunity
      • Build relationships with a foundation of integrity and trust by engaging in conversations, actively listening, showing genuine care and being a visible, positive, and approachable resource
      • Become proficient in facilitating two-way communication between all employees with a commitment to build positive relationships
      • Develop knowledge to coordinate and educate employees about programs including medical, dental, 401K/savings, benefit programs, compensation, disability, worker’s compensation, FMLA, scholarship, and recognition
      • Learn how to effectively advise, coach and educate leadership on all aspects of HR practices including staffing, retention, learning, development, performance and compliance
      • Learn to forecast needs, conduct interviews and support Hiring Managers throughout selection process while adhering to Hiring the Best procedures and compliant practices
      • Analyze and take action to improve retention, diversity and development measures, and stay educated on department financials to provide guidance and support staffing needs
      • Ensure high standards and compliance with all State and Federal laws and Wegmans’ policies, procedures, and practices

      Required Qualifications:

      • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience
      • Advanced computer skills
