      This job post is for an 18-month temporary, full-time, benefited Human Resources Generalist position.

      The Human Resources Generalist will participate and provide support in the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including talent management and onboarding, employee relations, classification and compensation, benefits, policy development, employee development, and enforcing company policies and practices under general supervision of a HR Manager.
      • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resources programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.
      • Conducts new employee and retiree benefit orientations including open enrollment, and Medicare enrollment.
      • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring process of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
      • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
      • Conducts extensive classification and compensation labor market research and studies.
      • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
      • Participates in conducting and coordinating training for employee development
      • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
      • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
      • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
      • Performs other duties as assigned.
      Education and Experience:
      • Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational management, communications, business administration, or related field.
      • At least two or more years of related human resources experience or equivalency.
      • At least one (1) industry-recognized certification preferred but not required (SPHR/PHR, SHRM-SCP/CP, PSHRA-SCP/CP)

      Physical Requirements: This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force; work regularly requires sitting, speaking or hearing, using hands to finger, handle or feel and repetitive motions and occasionally requires standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, reaching with hands and arms and pushing or pulling; work has standard vision requirements: vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data and operating motor vehicles or equipment; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g., business office, light traffic).Valid US Driver’s License Required.
