      Business Unit Overview 8th Avenue Food & Provisions is a growing organization made up of businesses that produce and sell quality products including pasta, peanut butter, granola, and fruit and nut trail mixes to retail, foodservice and ingredient customers. The company was formed in October 2018 through a combination of Post Holdings’ private brands businesses and is owned by Post Holdings and funds affiliated with Thomas H. Lee Partners, L.P. (“THL”), a private equity firm. Responsibilities What 8th Avenue Has to Offer At 8th Avenue Food & Provisions, an internship will allow students like you to gain hands-on experience working with a premier private label partner in the food industry specializing in consumer packaged goods, including retail, food service, and ingredient customers. You will learn to create more effectively, implement high-level ideas, and build your networking skills. You will play a huge part in solving the problems of your assigned team Your will be treated as part of the team where your opinions, ideas, and suggestions are heard You will get direct face-to-face time with the leadership team You will learn about the hard skills and soft skills needed to build your career path Location: Fenton, MO (May require travel to the Hazelwood plant) Duration: 12-weeks; 40hrs Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 – 5:00 pm CST; Monday – Thursday in office and Friday remote HR Internship Overview: Under the supervision of the Head of Talent, the Human Resources Intern will provide support to the HR department by working on a variety of HR projects to gain knowledge and experience in various aspects of this discipline. 8th Avenue is a forward-thinking company that takes great pride in their people, and that's why we're looking to expand our talent. Network with key leaders in our industry. What you Will Do Assist in various HR Projects focused on improvements to current HRIS System. Prepare and launch Learning Management System (LMS) platform and assign various trainings and journeys among employees. Assist with organizing and deploying the company SharePoint platform. Assist with building out recruitment backend platform for storing information and form standardization. Plan, design and deliver analytical projects that answer key HR-related questions Perform data extraction, report generation, and data visualization Generate and analyze data and metrics across the company to support data-driven decisions Assist with technology and database projects and assignments Complete selected projects that will result in improving the employee experience and optimizing outcomes while building analytics capabilities in HR Collects and compiles HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including the human resource information system (HRIS) and payroll outputs, management and employee surveys, exit interviews, employment records, government labor statistics, competitors practices, and other sources. In this role, you will build value through information and actionable insights Intern will be assigned to a functional team and work for a skilled mentor. Intern will be expected to contribute to project work and apply their work experience and education as well as their analytical and critical thinking skills to help solve business problems. There will be opportunities to meet with senior leaders in HR and teammates from various functions. Interns will learn about the manufacturing industry and gain business acumen via exposure to multiple functions of HR, networking, and mentoring opportunities. What We Need From You Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resource management, business, or a related field. Ability to work onsite at the Fenton, MO office. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented and organized. Proficient in Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with others. Demonstrated interest in Human Resource Management and desire to pursue a career in this field.
