      Job Title: Human Resources Intern

      Location: Atlanta, GA - Hybrid

      Reports to: Vice President of Human Resources

      Position Description

      We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources (HR) Intern to support our HR team in auditing, cleaning, and enhancing our HR systems. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in HR functions, operations, data management, and process improvement. The ideal candidate is currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field and is passionate about organization and efficiency.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Participate in assigned special projects aimed at improving data integrity and operational efficiency. Anticipated projects may include but not limited to employee personnel file management, job description revisions, HRIS guide/Standard Operating Procedures, development of employee resource portal.
      • Conduct audits of employee records and HR system data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
      • Identify inconsistencies, duplicates, and outdated information in the HRIS, programs and policies.
      • Assist in documenting current HR processes and recommending improvements.
      • Collaborate with HR team members to streamline workflows and enhance system usability.
      • Collaborate with the HR team and support the special projects and initiatives to include implementation of new features, processes and/or tools within the HRIS, Benefit Admin and Payroll systems.
      • Prepare reports and summaries of findings and progress of special projects for HR and Executive leadership.
      • Other duties as assigned or apparent.

      Qualifications

      • The ideal candidate is currently pursuing a 4-year degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field and is passionate about organization and efficiency.
      • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
      • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with HRIS platforms is a plus.
      • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
      • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
      • Interest in HR systems, data management, and process improvement.

      Preferred Skills

      • Experience with data cleanup or auditing projects.
      • Exposure to HRIS platforms like UKG, Workday, ADP, BambooHR, or similar.
      • Analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach.
      • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new initiatives.

      Physical Demands and Working Environment

      • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to work on a computer for extended periods of time.
      • Employee will be required to work hybrid, and as a requirement for this role, between in a home office and the Atlanta office.
      • Office work will be necessary to attend team meetings and fulfill role-specific tasks.
      • To facilitate working from home, candidates must provide their own eligible, high speed internet access with sufficient bandwidth to execute all job functions. A company laptop will be provided.
