In the role as Human Resources Manager, you will help our team bring the next round of stories to life on the United Center campus.

      This Manager role will help propel our HR department efforts to the next level. Not only will you provide forward-thinking support for training and development for our team members, but you will also help support the HR department in multiple functions.


      RESPONSIBILITIES – WHAT YOU’LL DO:

      We have a small but effective team, and each member plays an important role in the success of the department. The HR Manager role is crucial because it is responsible for supporting and administering day-to-day operations, similar to a HR Generalist.

      Additionally, this role will have the opportunity to lead the training and development efforts for the organization while directly supporting the Director of Human Resources.

      Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

      • Handle benefit administration and billing.
      • Coordinate the full onboarding process for new full-time & part-time team members.
      • Assist with the administration of the day-to-day operations.
      • Effectively communicate with all team members and help coach managers in enforcing policies in a fair and equitable manner.
      • Be active and help lead our DEIB initiatives.
      • Process Workers Comp claims.
      • Conduct employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
      • Assist with planning and participating in special team member events.
      • Maintain federal/state regulatory compliance training and forms such as EEO-1, OSHA 300, I9, etc.
      • Adhere to our Hybrid schedule and support the UC team on-property.
      • Management of employee personnel files and always maintain strict confidentiality.
      • Utilize our LMS system to create training programs to assist with career development and maintain a training curriculum for all levels of our team.
      • Spearhead organizational analytics and company trends to identify areas of opportunity.
      • Complete performance review training with managers and lead the performance review initiative in HRIS system.
      • Assist and greet visitors to the Human Resources Department.
      • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

      • Can work independently and takes initiative with a willingness to go above and beyond.

      REQUIREMENTS – WHAT YOU NEED

      • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
      • 5+ years’ experience in Human Resources
      • 2+ years’ experience in training is preferred.
      • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
      • Proficient computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook)
