- Administer various HR plans and procedures for all agency employees; assist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
- Perform benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, and communicating benefits information to employees.
- Compile necessary information for W-2 reporting and function as the liaison with the Finance Department.
- Coordinate performance appraisal processes and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Conduct recruitment efforts for all employees, managing the entire hiring process including background and reference checks.
- Develop and lead comprehensive onboarding programs to introduce new hires to the organization’s mission, culture, and policies.
- Conduct employee exit interviews and track feedback from exiting employees to improve retention strategies.
- Maintain and optimize the HRIS (e.g., ADP Workforce Now), ensuring accurate data collection, compliance with employment laws, and generating actionable HR reports to inform strategic decisions.
- File EEO reports annually and maintain other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
- Lead initiatives that promote employee engagement, continuous learning, and a “top workplace” environment.
- Provide administrative support for employee events and contribute creatively to strategies that enhance workplace culture.
- Conduct market research and develop competitive salary ranges and benefits packages.
- Manage employee benefits programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Implement leadership training programs and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Work closely with department managers to identify training needs and develop tailored training programs.
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- Preferred: Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration (MBA), Organizational Leadership, or a related discipline.
- Certifications Preferred: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.
- Required: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in human resources roles.
- Preferred:
- At least 3 years in a leadership or managerial HR position.
- Experience working within non-profit or mission-driven organizations.
- Proven track record in strategic HR planning, organizational development, and change management.
- Proficient in HRIS systems, specifically ADP Workforce Now.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and manage multiple priorities.

Who You Are
Strategic Partner: Lead and develop HR initiatives that not only support business growth but also align with our mission of compassion and service. You have a proven track record in HRIS optimization, particularly with systems like ADP, and are adept at using technology to streamline HR processes and enhance employee experience.
Employee Advocate: Act as a liaison between employees and management, ensuring that employee concerns are heard and addressed fairly, while fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
Policy Administrator: Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company standards. You are experienced in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Talent Manager: Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and development of employees to build a skilled and motivated workforce. Your ability to reduce time-to-fill and increase new hire retention through enhanced onboarding and employee support will be crucial.
Conflict Resolver: Manage and resolve workplace conflicts and disputes to maintain a harmonious work environment, utilizing best practices in grievance handling and conflict resolution.
Organizational Developer: Support organizational change and development initiatives to adapt to evolving business needs, improve overall effectiveness, and foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

This is a full-time, exempt position based in Omaha, NE, with a competitive annual salary ranging from $65,000 to $75,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
