      Assists in the development of a highly efficient and effective benefits program for employees of Loews Hotel. Responsible for entering and maintaining employee data in Human Resources Information System. Responsible for explaining and discussing employee benefits information. Assists the Director and Assistant Director of Human Resources with Team Member issues.

      Essential Functions and Responsibilities

      • Assists Director of Human Resources in developing benefits program for Loews Hotel 1%
      • Enroll eligible employees in health benefits program and maintain billings 9%
      • Enter and maintain employee benefit status information in hotel Human Resource Information System 5%
      • Responsible for all database file maintenance related to benefits information 4%
      • Provide Certificate of Group Health Plan coverage to employees 1%
      • Oversees FMLA/LOA process 6%
      • Trains managers and supervisors on FMLA Law and hotel processes 1%
      • Generate quarterly average hours report 2%
      • Conduct exit interviews for hotel employees 1%
      • Coordinates annual Health and Safety Fair along with Security 4%
      • Coordinate yearly open enrollment communications and meetings 4%
      • Coordinate 401K meetings to coincide with 401K entry dates 2%
      • Explain and discuss employee benefits 4%
      • Assist with yearly benefit surveys 1%
      • Develop and coordinate modified work programs 2%
      • Acts as an intermediary and resolves issues between employees and insurance companies 4%
      • Coordinate all billing for employee benefits 8%
      • Provide benefits information at employee orientation 2%
      • Oversees COBRA process 6%
      • Assists the Director of Human Resources with any ADAAA situations 2%
      • Assists the Director and Assistant Director of Human Resources with team member issues, terminations/investigations. 4%
      • Assists the Assistant Director of Human Resources with compensation (turnover reports, Wage Watch data etc) 1%
      • Assists the Director of Human Resources with Workers Comp issues 1%
      • Other duties as assigned 1%

      • Complies with hotel standards, policies, and rules 2%
      • Remains current on hotel information and changes 2%

      Qualifications

      • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
      • Knowledge of insurance and employee benefits program administration
      • Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

      Education:

      • Bachelor degree in a related field or comparable experience

      Experience:

      • Minimum 2 years experience as a manager/supervisor in a hotel or resort setting
