- In partnership with the HR Director(s), achieve department-level goals in partnership with other HR management staff
- Provide leadership, employee relations support, recruiting, and backup coverage for the HR Generalist Team in support of PCC’s 16 stores
- Proven ability to successfully navigate a variety of employee relations issues
- Deliver new staff orientation and training classes in rotation with other facilitators
- Provide verbal and written responses to union RFIs, grievances, and other correspondence
- Lead and manage Human Resource practices, processes, and programs in a timely manner
- Develop and implement programs designed to engage the entire workforce, such as job fairs and benefits open enrollment support
- Ensure compliance with all State and Federal employment law regulations
- Support the recruiting team for the PCC office and stores
- Ensures legal compliance in all aspects of Human Resources
- Assists with designing procedures for each hiring stage, including assessments and interview questions
- Administers various human resource plans, policies, and procedures, and communicates updates and changes broadly
- Assist with other HR departmental projects and initiatives
- Other duties, as assigned.
- Minimum 8-10 years of progressive Human Resources experience in a Business Partner/Generalist/HR Manager capacity
- Successful characteristics include the ability to successfully navigate through a fast-paced, staff- and customer-focused organization, the ability to affect change through influence, a flexible nature, and strong coaching skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Experience working with labor unions or in a union environment
- Ability to build and maintain trust, protect and preserve confidential information, along with a high attention to detail
- Passion for working with people and developing relationships with internal and external contacts
- Knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, and applicable laws regarding employment
- At least 3 years of experience interviewing and
- Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), iCIMS preferred
- Intermediate level of computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including proficiency in Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal relationship building
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and solve problems with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to be a collaborative team player, as well as a strong independent work ethic
- Demonstrated initiative, highly motivated, and results-oriented
- Ability to make decisions based on imperfect information
- Availability to work some evenings and weekends
- Ability to travel without barriers

Overview
The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for a broad range of day-to-day HR support services, including supporting the initiatives of the department and the HR Director; supporting recruiting and employee relations in partnership with PCC’s HR Generalists who work at our stores; orientation and training delivery; union liaison work, and general HR duties as assigned and needed.
