      PURPOSE

      Assists the Human Resources department in the administration of various human resource programs in several or all of the following areas: recruiting, employee and labor relations, compensation and benefits, training, safety, and personnel research. Assist with specific short-term assignments and workflow for organizational effectiveness. Handles all information confidentially. Work is performed under the supervision of the HR Director.

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES in order of importance. Other duties may be assigned.

      1. Provides first impressions for customers, potential applicants, and other members of the community.

      1. Provides administrative support and coordinates daily human resource programs. Typical duties may include answering routine inquiries about employment, employee relations, benefits, recognition, training, and staffing.

      1. Owns the ADP talent module for recruitment and ensures applications are available, easy to access, and do not have limitations to prevent issues with application submission. Maintains current documents, Job Descriptions, applications, and all other pertinent information housed in the module.

      1. Manages job postings on a regular basis and ensures consistent communication with department leaders to identify all currently vacant positions as well as those which are anticipated to become vacant, or new. Ensures compliance with the job posting process.

      1. Facilitates the application process to ensure applications are vetted according to Anchor standards, Pre-screening of applicants is per federal, state, and local law. Ensures department leaders conduct legal interviews and the candidates are prepared for each interview.

      1. Ensures plant tours, background checks, and drug screens are conducted and processed according to Anchor protocol.

      1. Ensures effective communications with applicants and offer letters are accurate and completed promptly.

      1. Maintains all tracking logs and record keeping. Reports on recruitment metrics for the Executive Leadership team and when requested.

      1. Support “on location” recruitment events and other recruiting activities scheduled by the Senior Recruiter.

      1. Builds a strong employer brand by participating in community and local school job fairs and events, and by implementing targeted marketing campaigns.

      1. Coordinates and conducts new hire orientations.

      1. Serve as a backup resource to the HR Process Manager for social media, radio, tv, and all other recruitment avenues in support of the recruitment strategy.

      1. Communicates recruitment progress through the use of the Department Listing, Onboarding Tracker, Planned Training Roster, and Pipeline Report.

      1. Assists and presents New Hire Orientation for permanent employees.

      1. Compiles regular reports per schedule and ad hoc reports when requested or needed.

      1. All other duties as assigned.

      PRIMARY INTERACTIONS

      Interfaces with departmental and cross-functional peers and managers to provide clarification, communicate procedures, and to resolve problems.

      EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

      High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. College degree in business or related area desired. Minimum of two (2) years recruiting and onboarding experience required. Familiarity with labor and employment law.
