Our mission is to serve the needs of our customers, today and tomorrow, with products and services that exceed expectations for performance and environmental responsibility.People • Customers • TrustPosition Summary: Human Resources Representative is responsible for providing administrative and human resource generalist support to the manufacturing facility ensuring effective application of all human resource activities.Dimensions:This position provides full employment cycle support to three manufacturing plants in the Salt Lake Valley. Our Salt Lake City facilities employee approximately 400 people in total. Responsible for the recruiting/hiring process and orientation of hourly and salaried employees and the day-to-day administration of maintaining employee files for both hourly and salaried employees and ensuring adherence to Company policies and government requirements with regard to the employment process.Principle Accountabilities: Plans and coordinates the recruiting and selection process for new hourly and salaried employees. Coordinates the administrative aspects of human resource activities such as performance appraisals, personnel requisitions, job descriptions, new hire process and leaves of absencePlans, coordinates and implements new hire employee orientation process for all newly hired employeesMaintains department files including personnel, medical, family leave and workers’ compensation files and enters electronic employee data into the Human Resource Management SystemServes as the plant’s FMLA coordinator and a point of contact for all leaves of absence that could be covered by disability and/or FMLAActs as a benefits representative and assisting employees with questions, problems, issues that may arise related to benefitsKnows and follows policies and procedures of the company, shares information that would benefit other members of the team, and finds ways to improve the delivery of service to our customers.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Human Resources OR two (2) years of relevant Human Resources experience.Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Capable of effectively communicating with management and hourly personnel.Strong working knowledge of PC applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.Demonstrable leadership behaviors. Strong understanding of broad-range HR issues. Preferred QualificationsTwo (2) to four (4) years previous human resources-related experience in the manufacturing industry, demonstrating knowledge and understanding of employee relations, workers’ compensation administration, employee orientation / training on human resource matters.Experience with HRIS software
