- Performs exit interviews and captures data for distribution.
- Utilizes applicable Boulder County policies and state and federal HR related laws (FLSA, Title VII, ADA, etc.) to coach employees.
- Provides data entry and report expertise to show trends and actionable data and presents information to applicable audiences.
- Utilizes the HRIS system to verify employee data, run reports for analysis and research employee information.
- Performs confidential work with all offices/departments in the area of employee relations and tracks the information for follow-up or resolution.
- Works closely with Sr. Business Partner and Manager of employee relations to administer/host learning opportunities related to employee relations.
- Coordinates follow-up dates for employee relations business partners.
- Monitors HR processes and documentation on SharePoint for updates or changes, including updating the SharePoint site regularly with relevant information.
- May represent HR at office/department meetings throughout the County to provide employee relations information.
- May respond to inquiries in the HR ticketing systems for employee relations. This may include policy interpretation, HR process coaching and general questions.
- May manage learning platform (Cornerstone) HR trainings.
- Performs related work, as required
- May be reassigned in emergency situations

Boulder County Human Resources (HR) department is seeking to hire a Human Resources Specialist - Employee Relations.
The Human Resources Specialist - Employee Relations is part of the Employee Relations team and is a paraprofessional level position that performs complex and specialized work with a considerable degree of independent judgment and decision-making. This position reports to the Sr. Human Resources Business Partner and Manager in the employee relations division and completes related work for the entire organization.

This is a full-time, benefited position. This position will work Monday – Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm, with some flexibility possible regarding schedule. This position will work remotely with an average of one day per week in-office with onsite options in Longmont, Lafayette, and Boulder. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is non-exempt (eligible for overtime).Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.
Hiring Salary Range: $57,912.00 - $70,608.00 Annually

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Boulder County is looking for well qualified candidates to fill our positions. Any combination of relevant education and experience is encouraged. In this position, we are looking for a minimum of a high school diploma, plus three years of clerical and technical experience in working with employee relationsRelated education may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
