      The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for providing regional HR support to the HR leadership team and market locations. The successful candidate will administer and coordinate various HR related processes, while supporting other regional leaders with projects and special assignments.

      Responsibilities:

      • Administers all Leave of Absence programs for the region and locations within the geographic area of responsibility that the HR team supports.
      • Engages as the primary contact to associates on leave and will coordinate union medical premiums for specific locations.
      • Processes union billing and deferred savings program contributions for all union locations within the region.
      • Coordinates the administration of the DOT random drug testing program, including quarterly distribution of random selection list, responding to questions, and performing related activities.
      • Collects details on all hours worked by temporary associates and enters the data into BEST IMS monthly.
      • Files Workers’ Compensation claims and performs routine updates to cases within BEST IMS.
      • Assists in the implementation of various HR initiatives and supports the Company’s employee engagement efforts.
      • Supports HR leaders in maintaining electronic personnel records.
      • Partners with regional leadership on projects and special assignments, as needed.
      • Performs other duties as assigned.

      Requirements:

      • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred with a human resources focus
      • Equivalent combination of education and 1 to 2 years human resources administrative experience will be considered
      • Demonstrates superior customer-service skills and a service-oriented mindset.
      • Familiarity with human resources practices and general employment law preferred
      • Previous experience administering various leave programs is a plus
      • Exceptional interpersonal and written skills
      • Proficient in Word, Excel is required. Experience with UKG is a plus.
      • Able to multi task and possess outstanding follow up and organizational skills
      • Spanish bi-lingual skills is a plus
