- Serves as the primary point of contact for district office reception.
- Administer employee benefits programs including SEBB, PFMLA, and Navia, including monthly reconciliation and updates.
- Track employee leaves (FMLA, PFMLA, L&I, unpaid leave), prepare and send leave letters, and maintain documentation.
- Serve as Vector Training Coordinator, managing compliance with mandatory training.
- Coordinate paraeducator required training and maintain compliance records.
- Act as back-up for the Substitute Coordinator, including system entries and communications.
- Audit ReadySub time off and ensure accurate payroll reporting.
- Process volunteer forms and maintain required records.
- Issue and manage employee ID badges.
- Assist Payroll with timesheet entry and auditing tasks
- Support auditing of Accounts Payable (A/P) records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assist with receipt of revenue for the District Office and related tracking.
- Provide support in other fiscal processes and special projects as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; AA degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Two years of experience in school district payroll, human resources, or accounting preferred.
- Working knowledge of SEBB benefits, FMLA, L&I, PFMLA, and unemployment processes is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite; knowledge of school HR/Payroll systems (e.g., Skyward, ReadySub) preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Office setting; frequent use of computer and telephone.
- Interacts with employees, vendors, and state agencies.
- May require extended periods of sitting and repetitive tasks.
- The current opening will be a classified, non-represented, FLSA Non-exempt, administrative HR/Fiscal Specialist II position with for a total of 40 hours per week, 260 days/ year, with holidays, vacation, sick leave, and salary in accordance with the Ellensburg School District Pro-Tech Terms and Benefits Agreement.

Position Summary:
The Fiscal and Human Resources Support Specialist plays a vital role in supporting both the Fiscal Services and Human Resources departments. This position provides specialized assistance in areas such as benefits coordination, leave administration, substitute processing, employee training tracking, and various accounting functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple processes with accuracy and confidentiality.
