What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee full lifecycle acquisition activities for complex federal contracts, including pre-award, award, and post-award support
- Conduct market research and prepare pre-award notices and capability analyses for small businesses
- Develop acquisition strategies, Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs), and recommendations for solicitation approaches
- Prepare solicitations and ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and internal policies
- Mentor junior acquisition staff on planning, documentation, and execution of acquisition processes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Management, or Accountancy
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in comprehensive acquisition support with knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
- Specialized experience in construction, complex services, or real property solicitations and contracts
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to mentor acquisition staff
- Must have resided or worked in the US within the last 10 years to pass the VA background investigation
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- FAC-C or DAWIA Level III in Contracting Certification
- Specialized experience developing and administering construction or A-E solicitations and contracts
- Experience with complex service solicitations and contracts, especially in healthcare
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex projects effectively
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
