What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Deliver specialized course content in an online environment while adhering to students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Communicate with parents and service staff to ensure appropriate therapies are provided for students with special needs
- Develop compliant IEPs and maintain accurate documentation of student progress and interventions
- Facilitate collaborative special education meetings, including annual IEP meetings
- Provide engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences tailored to individual student needs
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree and active State Special Education teaching license
- Ability to clear required background check
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with the proposed age group
- Experience in online (virtual) teaching or in a brick-and-mortar environment
- Familiarity with online learning platforms
- Experience supporting adults and children in technology use
- Receptive to coaching and feedback from administrators
