      What You'll Do

      • Draft Legal Documents - Immigration forms and supporting documentation for filings, along with client correspondence (document requests, status updates, routine responses, client corrections), includes cross checking all documentation against legal requirements, ensuring accuracy and minimal revision needed.
      • Assemble immigration petition and application packets by hand, ensuring all required forms, supporting documents, and exhibits are accurate, complete, and correctly organized before submission.
      • Call and correspond with clients directly - requesting missing documents, confirming receipt, answering routine questions, and providing status updates on packet progress.
      • Track packet status and deadlines, flagging missing information or documents needed from clients or attorneys to keep filings on schedule.
      • Process incoming and outgoing mail for the immigration practice, including sorting, logging, and routing time-sensitive correspondence, notices, and filings.
      • Maintain organized physical and digital case files, including scanning, filing, and data entry of client documents.
      • Coordinate with attorneys and legal staff to confirm packet requirements and ensure timely, accurate submission.
      • Handle sensitive client documents (passports, identification, immigration records, medical records) with care, accuracy, and confidentiality.

      Requirements

      Who You Are

      Must-Haves:

      • Immigration legal experience required - law firm, legal admin, paralegal, or similar role within an immigration practice.
      • Self motivated - someone who doesn't need to wait to be told to move a case forward / able to drive their own priorities and tasks with minimal supervision
      • Comfortable with high-volume, hands-on, manual work.
      • Sharp attention to detail - you catch missing documents and errors before they become a problem.
      • Strong organizational skills, able to juggle multiple packets and deadlines at once without losing track of details.
      • Clear, professional communicator over the phone and in writing - comfortable being the direct point of contact for clients.
      • Trustworthy with sensitive and confidential client information.
      • Thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven legal environment.

      Nice-to-Haves:

      • Experience with specific immigration filing types (family-based, employment-based, or similar).
      • Tech forward & working in a tech or startup environment
      • Familiarity with immigration case management software.
      • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
