What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Meet or exceed sales and territory objectives by developing and executing strategic business plans for the ophthalmology market
- Collaborate with portfolio representatives to identify synergistic opportunities and enhance customer engagement
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with key opinion leaders and decision-makers in ophthalmology
- Present compliant and effective sales presentations to customers and at conferences
- Maintain deep clinical and product knowledge to effectively communicate complex information
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of experience in ophthalmology
- In lieu of a bachelor's degree, consider an associate's degree with 7+ years or 10+ years of relevant pharmaceutical experience
- Current experience within the territory and knowledge of local customers is required
- Proven success in larger, complex territories with various account types
- Valid motor vehicle operator's license and ability to travel locally up to 40%

- Experience selling biologics or specialty pharmaceuticals to ophthalmologists or retina specialists
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and influencing skills within matrixed teams
