What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Source and lead the diligence of impact private investment strategies
- Conduct searches and due diligence on investment firms’ strategies
- Evaluate private capital managers' integration of environmental, social, and governance considerations
- Present formal investment recommendations to the Portfolio Management & Investment Committee (PMIC)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party asset managers and industry contacts
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in private capital markets and impact investing
- Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong presentation skills and comfort with client-facing interactions
- Experience with programming languages and data analysis tools; knowledge of Python is a plus
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Higher degree, such as an MBA, or participation in the CFA program
- Familiarity with Morningstar Direct, Bloomberg, Evestment, Preqin, or Cobalt
- Proven ability to analyze large datasets effectively
- Established network within the impact investing industry
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and resourcefulness in navigating organizations
