Job Description
- Req#: JP-005661388
- Perform asbestos and/or HAZMAT inspection and sampling.
- Prepare samples for laboratory analysis, including Chain of Custody documentation.
- Review and interpret laboratory results.
- Prepare associated asbestos and/or HAZMAT inspection reports.
- Oversee and document asbestos and/or HAZMAT abatement operations.
- Complete post-abatement verification inspection and associated reporting.
- 2+ years of experience in fields related to asbestos and/or HAZMAT surveys, sample preparation, and report writing.
- Current State of Indiana Asbestos Inspector License or ability to take a refresher course to make it current.
- Familiarity with EPA and EGLE standards, specifications, and guidelines.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and ability to use a tablet.
- Experience with air monitoring, lead assessment/risk analysis, and other industrial hygiene practices.
- Experience with demolition projects.

We are seeking a dedicated Industrial Hygienist to conduct asbestos and/or hazardous/regulated materials inspections along with associated reporting. This role involves critical tasks to ensure safety and compliance in environmental projects.

Work Environment
The position offers a flexible schedule from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with an average work week of 40-50 hours. You will need to drive your own vehicle to project sites within the city of Gary, Indiana, and you will have access to a small field office in Gary for work as needed. Reimbursement will be provided for travel expenses.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
