What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct research and analysis for ACEEE's industrial program, focusing on energy efficiency and decarbonization
- Support outreach to stakeholders including states, utilities, industrial companies, and NGOs
- Assist with data collection, data entry, and meeting logistics for various projects
- Contribute to the preparation of research reports, presentations, and other materials
- Monitor and describe technological advances and relevant policy developments
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, public policy, physical or natural sciences, or related fields with at least two years of relevant work experience, or a master's degree and one year of relevant experience
- Coursework in engineering, science, energy or public policy analysis, environmental science, economics, and/or mathematics
- Experience or strong interest in industrial decarbonization and/or industrial policy
- Excellent writing and presentation skills, capable of producing detailed reports and materials
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in spreadsheet analysis
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with electrification strategies, energy efficiency, emissions reductions, and embodied carbon in the built environment
- Demonstrated passion for clean energy and environmental issues
- Familiarity with engaging state and local policymakers
