What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide high-quality support to inquirers via phone, email, chat, and text on the Washington 211 hotline
- Assess callers' needs, complete intakes, and provide appropriate information and referrals
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation of calls and interactions
- Engage in problem-solving and assist callers with compassion and patience
- Collaborate on special projects and other tasks as assigned
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of an Associate's degree or relevant experience in a related field
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to respond to callers without judgment
- Experience in a contact center environment is strongly preferred
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple IT/software platforms while providing excellent customer service
- Comfortable using technology, with basic troubleshooting skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in human services or a similar support role
- Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques
- Knowledge of community resources and support services
- Bilingual skills are a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
