What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review and analyze documentation in medical records for inpatient, outpatient, and professional services
- Assign diagnoses/procedure codes based on physician(s) descriptions
- Abide by the Standards of Ethical Coding and official guidelines
- Utilize ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS coding classification systems
- Perform data entry using keyboard and mouse for coding purposes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Prior experience in ICD-10-CM diagnoses/procedure coding and HCPCS/CPT procedure coding
- High school diploma
- Certification as RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC, or CIRCC
- Working knowledge of coding systems in acute care/hospital or professional services setting
- Ability to meet physical demands of the job

- 2+ years of experience in coding in a healthcare setting
