Job Description

- Analyze and interpret Customer specifications and generate quotations using advanced knowledge of Engineering capabilities/requirements and Product.
- Work with Customers to understand and assess equipment needs, making recommendations as needed
- Keep project and client data in CRM up to date
- Organize and evaluate data for incoming projects
- Assist in preparation and submission of quotes
- Collaborate with Engineering Team and Purchasing Team to ensure that pricing structures are appropriate.
- Maintain an organized and accessible digital file system for administrative and sales professionals
- Handle any necessary administrative work including filing reports or presenting sales team with necessary documents
- Engage in follow up conversations with Customers and Potential Customers to convert Open Opportunities into Sales Orders
- Follow up internally with engineering and production to ensure timely responses to clients
- Collaborate with other members of Sales & Marketing Team, as well as external Sales Representatives to establish additional avenues for acquiring new customers and plans for meeting Order Intake goals.
- Attend daily/weekly internal Sales Meetings.
- Other duties and responsibilities that arise as a result of changing objectives.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with a strong fundamental in electrical engineering principles.
- Strong level of accountability and integrity with one's commitments
- Adaptable and eager to learn; self-starter who is willing to wear multiple hats to accomplish goals and can work independently w/o supervision once trained
- Experience in administrative/operational role supporting a Sales/Business Development team
- Experience with CRM systems and excellent Excel skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent time-management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Team-oriented - works well with others

- Prior sales engineering experience for engineered products for industrial and power applications strongly preferred.

Inside Sales Engineer

We are looking to add an Inside Sales Engineer on the East Coast to support our growing sales team for our transformer business. This position is geared towards engineers who are highly organized and have excellent communication skills. This candidate will be a critical part of the sales quoting process, identifying and understanding the clients' requirements, lead time and expectations. While in depth knowledge of transformer design is not an initial requirement, it is expected that the candidate have a strong foundation of electrical engineering and design principles, be able to read electrical line diagrams and technical specifications related to the products, and efficiently work with our internal teams to deliver on our commitments to our customers. Additionally, this candidate should feel comfortable working to keep our CRM updated and be well organized around follow up. This is a prime opportunity to get started in a rapidly growing company, for someone looking to become an integral part of the team with room to grow.
